We believe great matcha begins at the source

That’s why we work directly with a single partner farm β€” hand-in-hand with the people who grow and care for every tea leaf. It’s a relationship built on trust, shared standards, and a deep respect for the craft.

By being involved in every step from farming to final packaging, we stay true to our values, honor tradition, and ensure that each tin of matcha reflects the care and intention behind it.

Rooted In Purpose

Nippon Matcha began in 2010 with a simple goal: to bring authentic, ceremonial-grade matcha from Uji, Kyoto to people who care about what fuels them. Before matcha went mainstream, ours was trusted by athletes seeking clean focus and lasting energy. Today, we remain committed to that same standard β€” sourcing only first-harvest, USDA Organic matcha from Japan's most revered tea region.

Tradition in every step

Sourced from Uji, Japan, our matcha comes from a multi-generational family farm we've partnered with since 2010. Using time-honored methods β€” shade-growing under tana canopy covers, hand-selecting young first-flush leaves, and slow stone-grinding on granite mills β€” we preserve the vibrant color, smooth umami flavor, and nutritional potency that define true ceremonial-grade matcha.

Raising the Standard

We believe great matcha starts with honesty β€” in how it's grown, tested, and shared. Every batch is third-party lab tested for heavy metals, pesticides, and microbial purity. We hold USDA Organic certification and maintain full traceability from farm to tin. Whether you're new to matcha or a seasoned connoisseur, we want every sip to reflect the care and intention behind it.
